  58. ProDoor Mail Command Details
  59. ----------------------------
  60.  
  61. (Enter)     Search for the next message.  Notice the prompt message 
  62.             "(Enter)='+'" or "(Enter)='-'" to tell which direction 
  63.             (Enter) will take you. 
  64.  
  65. (+) or (-)  You can change the "default" reading direction by typing "+"
  66.             or "-".  The prompt tells you which way you are going. 
  67.             Pressing (Enter) alone advances in the current direction and
  68.             displays the next message available. 
  69.  
  70. (#)         You can type any message number and that message will be 
  71.             displayed. If there is no such message number on file, 
  72.             ProDOOR will search for the closest message and display that
  73.             one instead. 
  74.  
  75. (/)         Redisplay the current message.
  76.  
  77. (A)bandon   Leave current conference and return to the Main Board.
  78.             Continue reading messages.
  79.  
  80. (C)omment   Enter a comment message to the sysop.  You specify the
  81.             'subject' of the message.  The message will be protected so
  82.             it is seen only by the sysop.
  83.  
  84. (E)nter     Enter a new message.  You then specify who the message is to
  85.             be addressed to, as well as the 'subject' of the message.
  86.             You can protect the message so it will be seen only be the
  87.             'receiver'.
  88.  
  89. (G)oodbye   Logs you off the system.  Examples:
  90.                 G          ;logoff
  91.                 G Q        ;quick logoff, bypass closing bulletins
  92.  
  93. (H)otkeys   Enable instant response on most commands.  Eliminates the
  94.             need to type RETURN to activate most commands.
  95.             In hotkey mode you should use ";" (not SPACE) to "stack"
  96.             commands.  The spacebar acts like RETURN in hotkey mode.

  98. (J)oin      Allows you to switch to a different conference and continue
  99.             reading mail.  You may specify either a conference number or
  100.             a conference name.  Don't use <SPACE> in hotkey mode.  Examples:

  115.                (Y)our mail.  Scan for conferences with new mail for you
  116.                (+)next higher conference
  117.                (-)next lower conference
  118.  
  119. (K)ill      If the message is either TO or FROM you, this option will
  120.             appear.  Pressing K will delete the message from the message
  121.             base. 
  122.  
  123. (L)ast      Resets the last-read pointer to the current message number.
  124.             This is useful in conjunction with ARCM to re-capture messages.
  125.             Example:
  126.                500 L           ;selects message 500 and resets
  127.                                ;last-read to point to it.
  128.  
  129. (M)emorize  Saves current message number.  Use with (RM)recall memory.
  130.  
  131. (MG)graphic Toggles ANSI graphics mode off/on.
  132.  
  133. (N)o more   Returns you to the main command prompt.
  134.  
  135. (NODE)      Displays the list of callers that are online on other nodes
  136.             in a multi-node system.
  137.  
  138. (NS)non-stop will enter non-stop message reading or searching.
  139.             Suspended with ^S, aborted with ^K or end-of-messages.
  140.  
  141. (Q)uick     Shows you a quick summary of messages available for reading.
  142.             Includes the first 72 characters of message text.
  143.  
  144. (QQ)uicker  Shows you a quicker summary of messages available for reading.
  145.             Does not display any of the message text.
  146.  
  147. (QU)it      Quit reading messages and return to the ProDOOR command prompt. 
  148.  
  149. (RE)ply to  Enter a reply message to SENDER of the currently displayed
  150.             message. The reply mode allows you to optionally change the
  151.             subject and to provide "receiver-only" protection.
  152.  
  153. (RO)ply to  Enter a reply message to RECEIVER of the current message.
  154.  
  155. (REPLY)     This command allows you to directly to a message from a
  156.             command line.  Useful when you are reading messages offline
  157.             through the ARCM function.  The original message number can
  158.             be stacked.
  159.  
  160. (RM)recall  Returns you to the message memorized with the (M)emory command.
  161.  
  162. (RR)efer    Moves you to the 'Refer#' message.
  163.  
  164. (S)ince     Next message since you were last on.
  165.  
  166. (SC)an      Toggle auto-join and ZIPM access to the current conference.
  167.  
  168. (T)hread    Search for other messages with the same subject matter. 
  169.  
  170. (X)pert     Selects expert or novice mode.
  171.  
  172. (Y)our      Search for messages addressed to you.
  173.  
  174. (YA)        Search for messages addressed to you OR to "all".
  175.  
  176. (Z)ip       Search for messages.  Lets you specify a "search keyword".  
  177.             With zip search in effect, you will see ONLY messages that 
  178.             contain the keyword either in the header OR the body.  In 
  179.             color mode, the matching lines are hilighted.

  181. (ZIPM)      Zip new mail.  Captures up to 400 new messages in selected
  182.             conferences and then archives them in $SCRATCH$ for smallest
  183.             possible download time.  Examples:
  184.                ZIPM N         ;list new messages by conference before capture
  185.                ZIPM A         ;archive mail in all conferences
  186.                ZIPM M 10 14   ;archive mail in main board (M), areas 10 and 14
  187.                ZIPM TOOLS AI  ;archive TOOLS and AI conferences
  188.             Use (L)ast-read command to reset your "last read" message
  189.             pointers.
  190.             Use (J A)uto-config to select message areas in (ZIPM A)ll.

  193. ProDoor Sysop Commands (not available to users)

  196. (CO)py      Copy the current message into a different conference. 
  197.  
  198. (ED)it      Allows you to edit the current message header without
  199.             first going into the (MOD)ify function.
  200.  
  201. (F)ind      Find and display information about the sender of the
  202.             current message.
  203.  
  204. (MOVE)      Move the current message to a different conference.
  205.             This is the same as (CO)py followed by (K)ill.
  206.  
  207. (MO)dify    Edit message text and header information.
  208.  
  209. (P)rotect   Change the message protection to 'RECEIVER-ONLY'.
  210.  
  211. (U)nprotect Change the message protection to 'PUBLIC'.
  212.  
  213. (UNK)ill    UnKill a message that has been Killed.
  214.  
  215. (RU)snoop   Toggles read-flagging and user-update to allow reading
  216.             messages without updating pointers.
